Terms for developers
Effective November 3, 2026
These terms apply when you create a ScorePerch developer account or use the ScorePerch API in a game. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. The service
ScorePerch gives your game online leaderboards and optional public pages (a game page and a generated privacy page). It is free for now, provided "as is", without guarantees of availability, and may change. We'll give notice of significant changes, such as new limits or paid plans, by email.
2. Your account
- You must be an adult and give a working email address. Keep your password and your games' signing secrets private.
- You are responsible for what happens with your account and your games' keys.
- Accounts have limits (for example on the number of games and boards) to keep the service fair for everyone.
3. Acceptable use
- Use ScorePerch only for game leaderboards. Don't send personal data: no real names, emails, phone numbers, locations or device/advertising identifiers.
- Don't use it for illegal, hateful or adult content, don't impersonate others, and don't try to break, overload or get around the service's limits.
- Moderate your leaderboards: remove offensive names and impossible scores when you see them or are told about them.
4. Privacy obligations
Your game's privacy policy must say that it sends leaderboard data (nickname, random player ID, results) to ScorePerch. You can use the generated privacy page or link to ScorePerch's Privacy Policy. The details you enter for a generated privacy page must be true and kept up to date. Handle player requests (such as removal) promptly — the dashboard lets you delete players and scores.
5. Your content
You keep the rights to your game names, descriptions and icons. You allow us to display them on ScorePerch pages for as long as your game uses the service.
6. Suspension and deletion
We may disable a game or an account that breaks these terms, harms players or the service, or is inactive for a long time, if possible with notice. You can stop using ScorePerch at any time and ask us to delete your account and data.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, ScorePerch is not liable for indirect damages, lost data or lost revenue from using or being unable to use the service.
